Accountant - Black Star Group

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support the Group. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant reporting of all functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record-keeping for Black Star Group, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  2. Prepare monthly management accounts, budget variance reports, and cash flow statements for review by the Senior Accountant.
  3. Track and reconcile project expenditure, ensuring accurate cost allocation between capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX)
  4. Support payroll processing for Black Star Group's dedicated team members, coordinating with HR and finance functions.
  5. Process vendor invoices, contractor payments, and employee expense claims in accordance with financial controls and approval workflows of the firm.
  6. Assist in the preparation of statutory filings, tax returns (including VAT, WHT, and corporate tax), and regulatory financial submissions.
  7. Monitor enterprise client invoicing and revenue collection, reconciling payments against billing records and flagging discrepancies promptly.
  8. Support annual audit preparation by maintaining organised financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or financial services, with some experience in a supervisory capacity.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Part-qualification or full qualification with ACCA, ICAG or CIMA is an advantage.
  3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting, financial controls and reconciliations, preferably within financial services.
  4. Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Xero, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  5. Good understanding of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements applicable to financial services.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work with senior management and coordinate with external auditors and regulators.

Procurement & Supply Chain Manager - New Crystal Group

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and implement annual procurement plan for all branches.
  2. Monitor stock levels across all branches to avoid stock-outs and overstocking.
  3. Supervise central store operations, including proper storage, FIFO/FEFO, cold chain, and inventory control.
  4. Conduct monthly stock taking, stock reconciliation and generate stock variance reports.
  5. Manage distribution and logistics of supplies to all branches.
  6. Ensure all procured drugs and consumables are FDA approved and from certified suppliers.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

JOB PURPOSE

The Human Resources Officer provides day-to-day HR support across SLW and ensures the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee-related processes. The role supports recruitment and onboarding, employee records, attendance and leave, performance management, employee relations, payroll inputs, training, and HR reporting.

The position serves as a first point of contact for routine employee and HR matters and supports management in maintaining a productive, compliant, and positive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Onboarding

  1. Coordinate approved recruitment processes, including advertising, screening, interviews, references, and recruitment documentation.
  2. Maintain recruitment trackers and provide vacancy updates.
  3. Coordinate onboarding, induction, employee documentation, and probation reviews.

HR Administration & Employee Records

  1. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  2. Update employee information, movements, promotions, confirmations, transfers, and exits in approved HR systems, including Odoo.
  3. Prepare HR letters, memos, reports, and other documentation.

Attendance, Leave & Payroll Support

  1. Monitor attendance, punctuality, absenteeism, and leave records.
  2. Maintain accurate leave balances and attendance reports.
  3. Provide timely and accurate payroll inputs covering new hires, exits, salary changes, allowances, deductions, and other employee changes.
  4. Assist with employee payroll and benefits queries.

Performance Management

  1. Support the implementation of performance management processes and SMART goals/KPIs in Odoo.
  2. Monitor completion of probation, mid-year, and annual reviews.
  3. Follow up on outstanding performance-related actions.

Employee Relations

  1. Provide first-line support on employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
  2. Assist with disciplinary processes, investigations, queries, warnings, and case documentation.
  3. Escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.

Training & Employee Engagement

  1. Coordinate approved training and maintain training records.
  2. Support employee engagement, staff welfare, communication, and other people initiatives.

HR Reporting & Compliance

  1. Prepare regular reports on headcount, recruitment, turnover, attendance, leave, training, performance, and employee relations.
  2. Support workforce planning, HR audits, and compliance with Group and SLW policies and procedures.

Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.

General

  1. Provide responsive HR support to employees and line managers.
  2. Participate in HR projects and perform other reasonable duties assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management.
  2. 2–4 years' relevant HR experience.
  3. Experience in a hospitality environment is an advantage.
  4. Experience with HRIS/ERP systems; Odoo experience is an advantage.
  5. Professional HR qualification or membership of a recognised HR body is an advantage.

- Minimum 3+ years HR experience, at least 1 year in construction, manufacturing, real estate, or building materials sector is a big plus

- Degree in HRM, Business Admin, or Law + Professional HR Certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM)

- Proven expertise in Ghana Labour Law & Employee Rights - must be able to defend company at Labour Office/NLC if needed

- Experience handling sales team KPIs, commissions, and installer/technician workforce

About the Job

The Transport Specialist is responsible for planning and optimizing all product movements.

This position is primarily centers around ensuring timely deliveries to offtakers, efficient internal transfers, and high fleet utilization, while monitoring performance, costs, compliance, and continuous improvement across the transport network.

1. Programming & Delivery to Offtakers

  1. Develop and manage the weekly transport plan to ensure close to 100% OTIF (On Time, In Full) delivery performance.
  2. Lead coordination meetings with Operations and Logistics teams for clear weekly scheduling.
  3. Review and ensure accuracy of transport records and reporting tools (e.g., Post Tracker, Fumigation Table, and other official records).

2. Programming of Internal Movements

  1. Plan and schedule daily and weekly internal product transfers between hubs, mega hubs, and warehouses.
  2. Optimize routing to reduce unnecessary internal movements and improve stock availability positioning.

3. Fleet Management & Transportation Resources

  1. Allocate company-owned, rented, and contractor vehicles to meet delivery and internal movement needs.
  2. Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and vehicle availability.
  3. Maintain transport documentation (permits, logs, maintenance records, insurance).
  4. Coordinate driver assignments, performance expectations, and compliance with company policies.
  5. Analyze transport cost-per-ton, fleet utilization, downtime, and routing performance for continuous improvement.
  6. Manage relationships with transport providers and negotiate service terms and tariffs.

4. Projects, Analysis & Strategic Management

  1. Participate in weekly Logistics Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.
  2. Support the rollout and ongoing use of Transport Management System (TMS), Odoo, and data dashboards.
  3. Track transport budget performance, route economics, and monthly cost reporting by carrier.
  4. Oversee claim handling, insurance documentation, and compliance with health, safety, and sustainability standards.

5. Other Duties

  1. Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the line manager to support departmental goals and operations.

About you

Qualification and Requirements for the Transport Specialist:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years proven experience in transportation planning, fleet coordination, logistics operations, or supply chain management.
  3. Experience working with Third-Party Logistics Providers (3PLs), truck suppliers, or commodity logistics is an advantage.
  4. Proficiency in ERP / TMS platforms (e.g., Odoo) and data reporting tools (Excel dashboards, Google Sheets, BI tools).
  5. Ability to track and analyze cost per ton, fuel consumption, downtime, and route performance.
