VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT — ACCOUNTS OFFICER (FULL-TIME)


A reputable healthcare facility in Accra is seeking to recruit a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team. 


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Manage daily financial transactions and update accounting systems accordingly.
  2. Prepare and reconcile bank statements and other financial reports.
  3. Process invoices, staff claims, supplier payments, and petty cash transactions.
  4. Support monthly and yearly financial reporting processes.
  5. Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation.
  6. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  7. Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of all financial documents.
  8. Assist in stock and asset management records.
  9. Provide financial data and analysis to management for decision-making.
  10. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  1. A minimum of HND or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  3. Working experience in a healthcare or clinical practice setting will be an added advantage.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Opportunity

Asanko Gold Ghana Ltd is seeking a legally trained professional to join our dynamic team in our Finance Department for the position of Senior Contracts Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  1.  Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (RFPs, RFQs, vendor agreements, and service-level contracts) to ensure legal soundness and alignment with company objectives.
  2.  Ensure compliance with Ghanaian mining regulations, local content laws, and corporate 
  3. governance policies with the view to mitigate risks and optimize contractual outcomes for our zining operations.
  4.  Lead contract lifecycle management, including risk assessment, performance monitoring (SLAs/KPIs), and dispute resolution.
  5.  Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, liabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  6.  Manage tender processes, from drafting bid documents to evaluating proposals and recommending awards.
  7.  Oversee contract administration, including invoicing, claims, renewals, and terminations.
  8.  Maintain a centralized contract register and provide executive reporting on risks, expirations, and cost impacts.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  1. Law degree (LLB) and Bar qualification (BL) or Bachelor’s in Commercial Law, Business Administration (Legal Focus), or related field.
  2. 5+ years’ experience in contract law, procurement, or corporate legal advisory, preferably in mining or related industry.
  3. Must demonstrate strong background in contract management with expertise to oversee procurement, tendering, and vendor agreements. 
  4. Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and compliance.
  5. Familiarity with Ghanaian mining regulations and local content laws (e.g., GIAMA).

Preferred:

  1. Certification in contract management (CIPS, CPSM) or supply chain law.
  2. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Delta) and contract lifecycle software.

Skills & Competencies:

  1. Legal acumen: Ability to interpret and apply complex contractual terms.
  2. Analytical rigor: Assess economic and legal implications of contract clauses.
  3. Stakeholder management: Liaise with technical, finance, and external partners.
  4. Attention to detail: Ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership  

  • Provide account data to the Sales Manager for developing a sales plan and monitoring its implementation.
