Job Summary:

Polytanks Ghana Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced AC Technician to install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems across its factory and office facilities located at Spintex. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of HVAC systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable working environment for all staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning and ventilation systems, including  split units, central ACs, chillers, and exhaust systems.
2. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
3. Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of all cooling 
4. systems in factory and administrative areas.
5. Monitor and maintain refrigerant levels, clean filters, coils, and condensers regularly.
6. Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
7. Record all maintenance and repair work completed, and report any major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
8. Assist in the procurement of spare parts and tools when necessary.
9. Collaborate with the electrical and mechanical maintenance teams on cross-functional issues affecting factory equipment and facility comfort.
10. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or service requests to minimize downtime.
11. Maintain proper housekeeping of tools, equipment, and work areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. • Technical/Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a related field.
2. • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an AC Technician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
3. • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and mechanical components.
4. • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
5. • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
6. • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
7. • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in AC maintenance.
8. • Certification from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or relevant authority is an added advantage.
