GISI CERTIFIED RELATIONSHIP MANAGER (SUNYANI BRANCH)

Databank is seeking a self-motivated, innovative and GISI (Ghana Investment Securities Industry) certified individual for the role of a Relationship Manager to join our Sales team in Sunyani.



Job Purpose & Summary:

The successful candidate will report to the Branch Manager and help the Firm achieve its AUM and client acquisition targets across all the business lines by driving growth in deposits and mandates, maintaining and developing client relationships and developing innovative solutions for existing clients and pursue new clientele opportunities.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition and Development

  1. Identify potential clients through networking and market research
  2. Conduct in-depth client meetings to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment objectives
  3. Develop customized investment strategies aligned with client needs and present compelling proposals
  4. Onboard new clients and ensure smooth account opening process

Relationship Management

  1. Regularly engage with clients to provide ongoing portfolio updates, market insights and financial advice
  2. Proactively address client concerns and resolve issues promptly
  3. Foster strong rapport and build trust with clients to maintain long-term relationships Cross-selling and Business Development
  4. Identify opportunities to cross-sell the Firm's diverse range of products and services
  5. Actively seek new business leads by leveraging existing client relationships and referral networks
  6. Participate in marketing initiatives and client events and outreach programs to promote the Firm's brand and offerings

Compliance and Risk Management

  1. Strictly adhere to all regulatory requirements related to client onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures
  2. Monitor client activity for potential risk issues and report any concerns to relevant compliance teams
  3. Report any compliance concerns or irregularities to the relevant compliance and risk management teams.
  4. Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure all business practices align with the latest legal and compliance standards.

Education/Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related discipline
  2. GSE/GISI certification

Skills/Competencies

  1. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role
  2. Ability to build rapport with clients, effectively present investment proposals and close deals
  3. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  4. Analytical and attentive to detail
  5. Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office

This role is ideal for a proactive and disciplined professional who can lead our security team, safeguard company assets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering strong partnerships with external stakeholders.

Reporting to: Forest Operations Manager

ELIGIBILITY


Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant security management, criminology, or law enforcement discipline from a reputable university.

At least 10 years of working experience in the police or military. Should have attained a minimum rank of Chief Inspector/Senior Warrant Officer.

At least 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in forestry, natural resources or related industries.

Industry qualifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) would be an advantage.

Must have a valid National Service Certificate, ID card and driving license.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  1. Be disciplined, professional and act with integrity at all times.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of Ghana's security laws and regulatory compliance.
  3. Strong interpersonal communication, training and leadership skills.
  4. Computer literate in Windows and Microsoft software.
  5. Strong communication skills, including oral and written incident reporting.
  6. Ability to liaise effectively with the company's internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and communities, while remaining calm and decisive under pressure.
  7. Skilled in managing and monitoring community concerns and resolving conflicts.
  8. Proficient in security systems and equipment management, including CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  1. Lead, supervise, and train all security personnel.
  2. Develop and implement security mitigating strategies and operating procedures.
  3. Monitor and report on security operations, incidents, and risks.
  4. Liaise with external stakeholders, including the police, Forestry Commission, and local authorities.
  5. Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate threats such as illegal logging, theft, fire, and poaching.
  6. Manage recruitment, scheduling, performance appraisal, and discipline of security staff.
  7. Supervise the use, monitoring, and reporting of security equipment and systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, radios, etc.)
  8. Maintain positive relationships with Form Ghana staff, local communities, law enforcement, and government agencies.
  9. Lead crisis management and emergency response efforts.
