Job Description:

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. The role involves preparing tenders, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints. A strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis.
  3. Manage project budgets, including cost control and cash flow forecasting.
  4. Prepare tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
  5. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create and review construction drawings and models for accurate quantity take-offs.
  6. Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project costs are managed effectively.
  7. Value completed work and arrange payments.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  3. Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for modeling and drawing.
  4. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Ghana.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Gibbs

Our client, a class "A" Construction Company seeks to fill vacant positions with qualified, dedicated and experienced person as:


SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Measure, value, and certify construction work completed on-site.
  • Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and contracts.
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor variations, prepare valuations, and manage interim and final accounts.
  • Provide cost advice to management and stakeholders during all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, contract terms, and procurement policies.
  • Evaluate contractor and subcontractor claims, variations, and payment applications.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and quality in relation to costs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and financial reports.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BSC in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in cost and contract management within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and financial discipline.
