Subsidiary: LMI Holdings
Purpose: The role of the accountant is to provide support to the Finance and Accounts department by managing the daily accounting tasks and working to maintain order and transparency in the business finances for the subsidiary. Also provides Management with timely financial information and analysis to guide the decision-making process within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Spearhead the preparation of the Company’s Annual and Monthly budget preparation and ensure strict budgetary Compliance.
Oversee Revenue Generation and Reporting to mitigate any potential Revenue Loss.
Oversee and review the preparation of the Company’s Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Management Report to the Holdings Group.
Ensure the completion of the Company’s Month-end and Annual Financial closure for its External and Internal Audit
Ensure Compliance and Adherence to Company policies and the LMI Core Values.
Oversee Subsidiary treasury to ensure liquidity.
Processing approved purchase orders and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Accounts payable & receivable management
Bank reconciliations review
Responsible for monthly statutory filings – PAYE, VAT, WHT, SSNIT etc.
Maintain good documentation practices of relevant financial transactions including scanning and maintaining a comprehensive and efficient filling system.
Lead Financial Forecasting and Analysis for business decisions
Qualifications/Experience:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
A professional certificate in ACI or Accounting/Finance such as CA/ACCA/CIMA or its equivalent
Minimum five (5) years’ relevant experience in financial management.
Knowledge of the Ghana Free Zones regulations
