Job Description
At OBT Group, the Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the efficient operations and continued growth of the group.
Primary purpose of the role – The Logistics Coordinator will act as the key link between clients, internal departments, customs and regulatory authorities, shipping lines, terminal operators, transporters and other logistics service providers, ensuring that all operational requirements are properly coordinated and completed within agreed timelines while ensuring alignment with company procedures, compliance requirements, and service standards.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong coordination and communication skills, attention to detail, a hands-on and solutions-oriented approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment, while contributing to the company’s operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Solid understanding of customs procedures, port handling processes, and trucking coordination
- Knowledge of sea, air or land import/export documentation (MBL/HBL, delivery orders, gate-in/gate-out procedures)
- Good knowledge of cross-border and temporary importation with proven tracking experience
- Good understanding of local customs legislation and knowledge of customs systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment, including on-site supervision at port/terminal
- Strong communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to operational challenges
- Bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in logistics and other related fields
- 3-5+ years of experience in sea and air freight, port operations, or related logistics ground operations
- Logistics supervisor/coordinator/managerial role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and multiple transport management systems is an advantage.
- English is necessary, and French is a plus
