Voice-AI & Systems Integration Engineer - ABPO

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Voice-AI & Systems Integration Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain our voice-Al travel platform. In this high-impact technical role, you will bridge conversational Al agents with live travel APIs, telephony systems, and human sales queues. You will own the end-to-end integration architecture-ensuring real-time fare data accuracy, seamless agent transfers, robust data security, and maintainable, fully documented codebases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Configure conversational voice-Al platforms, implementing approved prompts, tool calls, transfer rules, and fallback logic.
2. Integrate telephony systems (ReadyMode or selected SIP paths) with the Al front end and live human closer queues.
3. Implement structured warm-transfer summaries covering caller identity, itinerary, live options, budget, objections, and recommended actions.
4. Connect live travel content via Duffel or approved supplier APIs with strict accuracy and no fabricated fares or availability.
5. Build and maintain middleware using Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js for business logic, pricing/fare rules, supplier API calls, CRM updates, and audit logging.
6. Manage PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database architecture for operational data, call events, bookings, error states, and KPIs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. 3+ years of software engineering experience (exceptional candidates with 2+ years may qualify via practical technical assessment).
2. Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js for backend development.
3. Proven experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON payloads, authentication protocols, third-party SaaS integrations, and relational databases.
4. Hands-on experience deploying services in managed cloud environments, including secrets management, environment configuration, and centralized logging.
5. Excellent technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical operations teams.
6. Preferred: experience with voice-Al platforms, SIP or telephony integrations, travel APIs or GDS environments, or real-time conversational systems.

SALARY:

GHS 8,000-9,000 per month (negotiable)
