JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Paint Applicator, you will be responsible for applying various paint finishes to surfaces on our construction sites. This includes preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and executing different painting techniques to meet project specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Surface Preparation: Prepare walls, ceilings, and other surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure a smooth finish.
  2. Paint Application: Apply various types of paint, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  3. Texture Painting: Apply and finish specialized texture coatings to achieve desired aesthetic effects.
  4. Product Knowledge: Work confidently with a variety of paints and materials, including Colortek or similar high-end decorative products.
  5. Flooring Systems: Oversee all aspects of flooring systems, including installation preparation (micro cement flooring system), ensuring an in-depth understanding of the entire process.
  6. Supervise and lead a team of paint applicators, delegating tasks and providing clear instructions to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  7. Provide on-the-job training to junior applicators, helping them develop their skills and techniques.
  8. Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the company's high standards of quality and is completed within project timelines.
  9. Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site, including the proper use of protective gear and equipment.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  1. Experience: Proven experience as a Paint Applicator in a construction or related environment.
  2. Texture Painting: Must be highly experienced in texture painting techniques.
  3. Product Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of decorative paint products, specifically Colortek or similar brands like San Marco, Oikos, or Benjamin Moore.
  4. Flooring Systems: An in-depth understanding of flooring systems and their application (micro cement system).
  5. Communication: Must be able to speak and communicate fluently in English. Proficiency in other languages is considered a valuable asset.

  3. Ensure truck is kept perfectly maintained and report any defects immediately to supervisor and maintenance manager

Qualifications

  1.  Completed secondary education.

JOB PURPOSE

To lead the development and execution of our sales strategy for emerging channels. The role is also responsible for identifying, building, and nurturing relationships with key partners and channels that represent growth opportunities for our brands.



WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

1. Channel Development & Strategy

• Identify, evaluate and prioritize emerging sales channels, especially beauty stores, Pharma, Petrol Marts and Institutions/OOH.
