About This Role

The role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities of project teams to ensure that work is carried out safely, on time, within scope, and in accordance with specifications. The role acts as the link between management and the workforce, ensuring smooth project execution and quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site project activities and workforce.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Allocate resources efficiently including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Enforce adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and verify work against technical drawings and scopes.
  • Report on daily progress, challenges, incidents, and resource needs to the Project superintendent.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts and troubleshoot issues to avoid project delays.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct safety briefings/toolbox talks.
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and documentation during all project phases.
  • Participate in project handovers, testing, and commissioning where required


Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant field.
  • Certification in site supervision, safety (e.g., OSHA), or project management (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Must have [3–5] years of supervisory experience in project-based environments (e.g., construction, infrastructure, or industrial mining).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects successfully.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to guide teams effectively and work collaboratively.
  • Good understanding of project management processes, methodologies and life cycles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, relevant data and technical documentation.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and project tracking software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
