Job Purpose
The Assistant Audit Manager will support the Senior Audit Manager in planning and executing audits across Polytanks’ operations. This role ensures adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory standards while identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing risk-based audit plans specific to Polytanks’ operations (manufacturing, inventory, procurement, logistics, and sales).
- Execute audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, financial integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor compliance with group policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Review processes related to raw material procurement, production, warehousing, and product dispatch to identify areas of risk or cost leakage.
- Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations and present findings to management.
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Support investigations into anomalies, stock discrepancies, or suspected fraud cases.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal audit awareness and control consciousness.
- Assist in digitalizing and improving audit processes using ERP (e.g., Tally or SAP).
- Report key risk areas to the Senior Audit Manager and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Part or full professional qualification (ACCA, ICA, CIA, or equivalent) is required.
- 4–6 years of audit experience (internal/external), preferably in manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Tally, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in manufacturing or stock-heavy environments is a strong advantage
- Solid knowledge of auditing principles and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
Working Conditions
- Based in Accra, with regular field audits at the factory and warehouse locations.
- Some travel may be required within Ghana depending on audit scope and coverage.
