Civil Engineer

CAPEMAY Properties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review technical reports, project schedules, and construction documentation.
2. Supervise and monitor site works to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
3. Review and interpret design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for implementation on-site.
4. Oversee material quality control and quality assurance programs, including laboratory and field tests.
5. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical challenges.
6. Prepare monthly progress reports and monitor project delays, recommending mitigation measures.
7. Manage documentation, correspondence, and reporting between stakeholders.
8. Provide technical support during design review, project planning, and construction phases.

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
2. Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in civil and structural engineering projects.
3. Proven experience in roads, highways, building structures, and large infrastructure projects.
4. Strong background in site supervision, project coordination, and quality assuranceyFamiliarity with procurement, contract compliance, and project documentation
5. Experience in finishing of buildings and specifications.
6. Snagging of buildings and projects.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, MS Word, and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design, supervision, and testing procedures.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  Knowledge of environmental and safety compliance standards.
• Valid Drivers licence.
  Registered at the Institute of Ghana Engineers.
