Lead Geologist

At Hujak Mining Limited Company, we deliver professional mining and drilling services across Ghana. We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Geologist to oversee exploration and drilling operations, provide technical expertise, and ensure that our geological projects meet international standards. This is a leadership role that combines fieldwork, data analysis, and strategic planning.

What You Will Do

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise exploration and drilling projects.
• Conduct detailed geological mapping, sampling, and core logging.
• Interpret geological and geophysical data to identify mineral resources.
• Collaborate with drilling teams to design and oversee drilling programs.
• Evaluate drill results and prepare comprehensive geological models and reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations during field operations.
• Manage and mentor junior geologists and field technicians.
• Provide expert advice to management on resource evaluation, mine planning, and project feasibility.
• Maintain accurate geological records, maps, and databases.
• Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, regulators, and investors.

 

 

Who We’re Looking For

 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Geological Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in mining exploration, drilling, or related geological roles.
• Proven track record in drill program design, supervision, and resource evaluation.
• Proficiency in geological software (e.g., Surpac, Micromine, Datamine, ArcGIS).
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in challenging field environments and travel as required.
