SAFETY OFFICER
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific health and safety policies.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Ensure all workers comply with statutory safety regulations and internal policies.
- Organize and lead safety induction and training sessions for staff and contractors.
- Regularly inspect tools, equipment, and work areas to identify hazards.
- Recommend corrective actions and enforce safety compliance on-site.
- Prepare and submit safety reports and accident logs to management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for occupational health and safety issues.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure preparedness measures are in place.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into construction planning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BSc in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction site safety management.
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian and international HSE regulations.
- Excellent observational and reporting skills.
- Ability to enforce compliance in a professional and effective manner.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
