Position: Customs Clearance Specialist
Dept: Supply Chain Business Dept
Reporting Line: Head of Dept.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan import and export customs clearance business based on the supply network and logistics routes to ensure the continuity and resilience of import and export business.
- Be responsible for the construction of the customs business environment, and ensure that Huawei's requirements are responded to by customs.
- Obtain the latest customs policies, analyze the policies at the customs application level, and effectively apply them in scenario-based solution design.
- Effectively manage customs risks and lead major customs audits.
- Communicate with the customs daily business contact person and resolve exceptions in customs clearance.
- Manage the daily performance of customs clearance agents and evaluate their performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade or Engineering related program. A qualification in Port and Shipping Administration is an added advantage.
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in customs clearing, freight forwarding, or import/export operations in the telecommunication industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of customs systems, tariff structures, and valuation rules.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong negotiation abilities, and the capacity to work with both internal and external teams.
- Business Skills: business-oriented, reliable and willing to learn; able to work under supervision and support business teams efficiently and excellent reporting skills (both written and verbal)
Extra Knowledge
- Appreciation of Telecommunication Industries and related logistical issues.
- Identification of Hazards and EHS concerns in the field of operations.
