𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿
DTI is seeking a Machining Trainer to deliver specialised training in manual and CNC machining, equipping teaching staff, technicians, and students with the practical competencies required to safely set up, operate, and maintain machining equipment, while strengthening sustainable in-house capacity within the CAD-CAM Department.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
Deliver specialised practical training in manual and CNC machining
Equip teaching staff, technicians, and students with the competencies to safely set up, operate, and maintain machining equipment
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machining operations
Design practical training materials and assessment tools
Establish and administer machine certification systems
Champion workshop safety standards and safe machine operating practice
Strengthen sustainable in-house training capacity within the CAD-CAM Department
Support the maintenance and optimal utilisation of machining equipment
𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
Recognised technical or trade qualification in Machining, Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field
Strong working knowledge of workshop safety standards and machine maintenance practice
Ability to develop SOPs, training materials, and competency assessment tools
Strong instructional, mentoring, and communication skills
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
Minimum of five (5) years' relevant production or toolroom machining experience, covering both manual and CNC machining
Demonstrable experience operating and setting up vertical CNC milling centres and CNC lathes
