Role Profile – Electrical Automation Engineer
Function/Department: Industrial Operations / Engineering

Reports To: Packaging Maintenance Engineer
Job Level/Grade: L6A
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of electrical and automation systems within
the packaging plant. The role supervises electrical and automation maintenance activities, supports
production with timely troubleshooting, and drives compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards
to deliver uninterrupted operations.
Key Accountabilities:
• Ensure strict compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, and Statutory standards to
achieve zero lost time accidents (LTA).
• Supervise maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and automation systems on
packaging lines.
• Monitor, optimize, and ensure reliability of PLCs, SCADA, drives, and control systems.
• Lead, coach, and develop technicians while enforcing safe work practices.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
• Support automation projects, upgrades, and new installations.
• Drive compliance, continuous improvement, and accurate technical reporting to enhance efficiency
and resource utilization.
• Promote best engineering practices to improve packaging equipment reliability and performance
Key Requirements – Qualifications, Experience, Skills etc.:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in electrical and automation maintenance, preferably within FMCG,
beverages, or process manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, industrial networks, and electrical
distribution.
• Experience with packaging line automation will be an advantage.
• Proven supervisory skills with the ability to lead and develop a technical team.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
