Role Description

We are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee and manage the maintenance and operations of our facilities in Tema. This is a full-time, on-site role that involves managing daily facility operations, maintaining equipment and systems, ensuring workplace safety, and coordinating with vendors and contractors. The Facilities Manager will develop and implement maintenance plans, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role will also involve addressing employee concerns regarding workplace facilities and implementing eco-friendly and cost-efficient solutions. This business unit of ours operates in the freight and logistics industry.


Qualifications

Facility Management and Maintenance skills, including experience with overseeing building systems and equipment

Vendor and Contractor Management experience with strong negotiation and partnership skills

Knowledge of Workplace Safety, Compliance Standards, and Environmental Sustainability Practices

Proficiency in Budget Management, Maintenance Scheduling, and Cost Optimization

Strong Problem-Solving, Leadership, and Organizational Skills

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work in a dynamic environment

Expat Residence and Facilities Manager - Wilmar Africa LTD.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Expat Residence and Facilities Manager who will oversee the full operations of the Company's guesthouse and outside residences, which accommodates both resident expatriates and short-term visiting staff.

The role requires a strong blend of facility management, hospitality service delivery, and technical maintenance oversight, ensuring the property operates efficiently, safely, and at high service standards.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end service delivery including accommodation, catering, laundry, maintenance, and vendor coordination, with a strong focus on responsiveness and quality. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee daily operations of the guesthouse (long-stay expats and short-term occupancy).
  2. Ensure high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and functionality across all areas.
  3. Manage room allocation, occupancy planning, and guest experience
  4. Lead preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, plumbing, and civil works.
  5. Ensure all facilities and equipment are always fully operational.
  6. Drive fast response times for all maintenance issues.
  7. Liaise with service providers (catering, laundry, repairs, utilities).
  8. Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for quality and turnaround time.
  9. Ensure accountability and cost control across all vendors.
  10. Oversee end-to-end service delivery including catering, housekeeping, laundry, and accommodation.
  11. Ensure a consistent, professional experience for all occupants.
  12. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and company standards.
  13. Maintain records for occupancy, maintenance, and expenses.
  14. Provide periodic reporting on operations, costs, and issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Minimum First degree or HND in any field.
  2. Proven experience in facility management, hospitality operations, or property management.
  3. Strong technical knowledge in repairs and maintenance (electrical, plumbing, general works).
  4. Experience in managing vendors and SLAs.
  5. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  6. High level of integrity, accountability, and responsiveness.
  7. Technical certification is an advantage

Facility Officer - Glico Group

About the role:

The Facilities Officer will work to ensure a conducive and safe environment for staff members whilst also maintaining adequate management of the organization's assets across its branch offices.

1.1. Duties:

• Supporting Project and admin staff members.

• Maintaining facility management processes.

• Maintaining & optimizing facilities & Assets

• Technology integration.

• Managing Facility renovation and repair projects.

• Purchase /vendor management

• Putting it all together for facilities management.

Responsibilities also include performing and coordinating other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

1.2. Facility Management

• Ensure work environment is always clean and professional.

• Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.

• Perform daily inspections and identify and address issues to ensure a clean and safe work environment for staff members.

• Ensure proper maintenance of organizations’ assets (cars, properties, office appliances, equipment etc)

• Coordinate and schedule equipment and building repairs, installations, and maintenance work with vendors and appropriate in-house staff.

• Manage unplanned maintenance, repair and recovery for the facility as required within the shortest possible time.

• Follow-up on timelines to ensure periodic services such as generator and elevator servicing, facility

• Energy management: ensure adherence to managing energy sources – turning off lights, putting off equipment, and use of inverter to the firm’s advantage.

• Assist with and coordinate internal office and furniture moves

• Assist with special projects related to office facilities, including office construction and refurbishments and vendor biding processes.

• Manage staff parking inside and outside the office premises as allowed by Estate compliance/ensure timely payment of annual fees to monitoring agency.

2.0.  Database Management

• Database management: keep up-to-date database of Firm’s contacts – periodically updated and cleaned to ensure minimal errors (less than 5% of communications should be returned for wrong addresses, deaths, etc)

 3.0.  KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

Attention to details Sense of aesthetics Negotiation skills

Good communication skills Supervision skills

Innovative, proactive and ability to troubleshoot.

 4.0.  QUALIFICATION:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the same field

Bachelor’s degree in one or any of these: Facility Management, Estate Management, Estate Valuer or any other related field of study within depth knowledge of real estate industry and its current events.
