Job Purpose

The Stores Officer manages the receipt, storage, issuance, and reconciliation of drinks, beverages, and snacks purchased for inflight service to crew and passengers. The role ensures adequate, correctly accounted stock is available to support flight operations while maintaining accurate inventory records and cost control in line with Finance requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory Receipt and Storage


Place and receive orders from external vendors, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders and delivery notes.

Store all items in accordance with product handling, temperature, and expiry requirements, ensuring stock is kept secure and in a fit condition for inflight service.

Stock Issuance


Issue items for inflight service use to cabin crew ahead of scheduled flights, based on approved request.

Maintain a signed record of all issuances, capturing flight reference, quantity from crew member.

Inventory Records and Reconciliation


Maintain up-to-date stock system records for all inflight items, reflecting receipts, issuances, and balances.

Conduct daily counts of stock in storage, reconciling against system records and reporting variances to the Cabin Services Manager.

Monitor expiry / best-before dates on all products, across all inflight items, and flag slow-moving items for action.

Replenishment and Availability


Track consumption trends on all inflight items, notifying Cabin Services of replenishment needs in good time to avoid stock-outs affecting inflight service.

Coordinate with the Cabin Crew Manager on upcoming flight schedules to ensure stock levels match anticipated demand.

Raise purchase requisitions for replenishment in line with approved procurement procedures.

Cost Control and Reporting


Maintain accurate cost records for all inflight items, supporting Finance in tracking inflight consumable costs against budget.

Report stock losses, damages, or discrepancies promptly, with supporting explanation.

Provide periodic stock and consumption reports to the Cabin Services Manager.

Compliance and Loss Prevention


Ensure all stock movements are properly documented and authorized, with no unrecorded issuance or receipt.

Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and access to stock on request.

Escalate any suspected loss, theft, or irregularity immediately.

Competencies and Attributes Required

High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Strong organizational skills, able to manage stock levels against tight flight schedules.

Trustworthy, accountable, and Assertive in handling stock and cost records.

Clear communication skills, able to coordinate effectively with both Finance and Cabin Services team.

Comfortable working with basic inventory/accounting software and spreadsheets.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in stores/inventory management, ideally within an airline, hospitality, or FMCG environment.

Working knowledge of inventory management systems and basic reconciliation/accounting principles.

Position Purpose

Responsible for the management of the facilities of the Property. Develops related budgets, procures services, handles third party service contracts, and directs maintenance procedures. Ensures that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are well maintained and in optimal working condition ensuring that all operations are in accordance with established health and safety regulations. Keeps management well informed of area activities and significant problems.

Summary Responsibilities

1. Assumes responsibility for the effective operations management of

Property and facilities.

· Asset Management

a. Implements regular preventative maintenance program in line with budget constraints

b. Motivate refurbishments, major repairs as appropriate

c. Monitor and report on progress

d. Ensures that Building operations are in compliance with established procedures, policies, regulations and codes.


. Reporting, Planning and Budgeting


a. Preparation and completion of annual operationals budget

b. Monthly Reports on Operational activities including expenses.


. Building Management


a. Ensure that all buildings and grounds are well maintained and that equipment are in optimal working condition.

b. Identify and perform daily repair and maintenance issues

c. Respond promptly and efficiently to clients' maintenance requirements

d. Ensure compliance with legal regulations. Complete regular health & safety inspections and update monthly reports as appropriate. Ensure that health & safety requirements are effectively implemented.


2. Assumes responsibility for the effective operations management of building and facilities.

a. Liaises with occupants with regards to operational problems.

b. Conducts periodic inspection of facilities, assess problems and needs, and implements improvements in operations as appropriate.

c. Coordinates maintenance activities. Ensures that facilities are clean, well maintained, and in good repairs. Directs preventive maintenance procedures as appropriate.

3. Assumes responsibility for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective administration of building operations.

a. Carry out daily inspection of the building and report on all building defects identified or shoddy work performed by service providers.

b. Ensures that facilities operations are cost effective, efficient and within established budget constraints.

c. Ensures that all maintenance agreements are current.

4. Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional business relations with vendors, contractors and trade professionals.

a. Supervise the work of all service providers e.g. janitors, security guards as well as artisans like plumbers, electricians, masons, painters who work on site

b. Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the company.

5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

b. Completes special projects as assigned.

c. Ensures that work area is clean, secure and well maintained.


Required Skills

Excellent understanding of Building Management procedures.

Knowledge of budgeting, service contracts etc.

Education Qualification

A degree in Facility Management or Engineering and related maintenance and facility management training.

Work experience

Three or more years of related experience, with at least one or more years of Supervisory experience.
