THE POSITION:
We are seeking to recruit a highly qualified, experienced, and passionate Business Studies teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, student-centered Business Studies lessons that inspire learners to develop entrepreneurial thinking, financial literacy, and a strong understanding of business concepts. The teacher will prepare students for Cambridge International examinations while promoting academic excellence and the school's core values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level examinations.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report students' academic progress using a variety of assessment methods.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and entrepreneurial skills.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
- Provide academic support, mentoring, and guidance to students.
- Participate in departmental planning, curriculum development, staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Uphold the school's safeguarding, child protection, and professional conduct policies.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, confidence and collaboration
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
- Perform other duties assigned by the Principal or Head of Secondary School.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Education, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree qualification in Business Education is preferred.
- Teaching certification in the Cambridge curriculum is desirable
- At least 5 years of teaching experience in the Cambridge IGCSE and A-level and a good track record of students' successes.
- Demonstrated success in preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level examinations.
- Strong knowledge of current teaching methodologies and assessment practices.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- High level of ICT competence with the ability to integrate digital tools into teaching.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
